Check out banknoteWorld!

My currency collection began on Christmas day 2022. When a friend of mine got a euro to scratch off a verification code. I politely asked him for the coin, he gave it to me. now over more then two years of having a collection, I own currency from most of the countries on earth. between banknotes and coins, I prefer banknotes as they have more colorful and shiny things for me to look at:D

World's first polymer banknote (Australia 10 Dollars 1988)! This banknote was made to celebrate 200 years of europian settlement of the country.

Now in my collection!

This next banknote is not in my collection, but is still the oldest plastic banknote in the world to be used as money. I say "used as money because there was some plastic money for testing purposes dating back to the early 1970s! (1973). Anyway This banknote was made in Haiti, in 1980. Unlike the Australian banknote, This banknote was made out of a plastic material called Tyvek. however this banknote and many more like it would soon be scrapped due to the Tyvek's bad performance.
